If you're wondering, this film is Nothing like the sound of music. Learnt that the hard way. Wait if pelles parents were killed in a fire when he was younger, do you think they also sacrificed themselves like him and his brother? i dont know if its true but its terrifying to think of. He seems really sweet. If he was the same as a young man, I could see how easily he was taken in, but I'm glad he got out quickly. I liked it, it was different and interesting. Could have easily cut 20 mins from it though. One more thing I noticed: During one of the meal scenes, the whole table had a glass of a pale yellow-looking drink. Christian's was the only one that was a shade darker, more orange-looking. And after he put it down, the camera focused on his glass for a short moment. I just kept screaming “stop drinking the damn psychedelic tea!” Thats really the thing that I recalled the most after watching the movie.

I thought the inbred Oracle was going to play a bigger role. The scariest part of this video is the way he pronounces Christian. The beginnings concept of the loss of family juxtaposed to the end which is the finding of a family. Honestly an excellent film with an intriguing plot and amazing cinematography. Watching this movie for the first time on two tabs of acid was horrible yet interesting. The movie was a story of a relationship breakdown, which included co-dependency, etc., set in a folk-horror setting(think traditional fairy tales before Disney sanitised them. It was not meant to be a horror movie.

I don't expect this to be scary or the scariest, but rather unsettling. I'm going to see this. 👍👌. He wanted to quit smoking and ended up in a cult? Yeah no, Im gonna go ahead and die of lung cancer. As Hermione would say; “its mid-sOmmah, not midsommAAr”. Great vid though. My parents almost got pulled into a cult like last year, we just joke about it but reality is it couldve been really scary. they were just looking for a new church and only went to one session? idk i forget what church things are called lol but by the end of it they were rlly freaked out cuz although they were soso nice something just seemed really off. lucky nothing happened to them. As a swede, this is definitley how we handle our swedish holidays. Every person of colour would run the other direction if they saw this.

Never heard of this movie before lmao. I watch these because im too scared to watch the movies. Among all the horror movie this was the masterpiece! A jaw-dropping film... You could see he has given up believing in absolute truths: liked most clips, but gave almost no 10/10.

 

My favorite part is that the cult has no clue of the storm of repercussions that would ascend onto their quiet little community after both the United States and United Kingdom catch wind that they're both missing a total of 6 citizens that flew to Sweden for the same reason of meeting up with this odd pagan cult. Too much of a large cookie crumb trail to mop up and hide away as if nothing happened. The comments section is a cult that I'd never be able to escape. Is this movie not just a bitter attack on traditional nordic culture and heritage. Oh boy. You have not seen Små grodorna. 1:11 I was gonna correct a spelling mistake but realised I can let it slide because of the positive and important message.

Everything wrong with Midsommar: Thats not how we celebrate Midsommar (expect the flower crowns and pole dancing, thats pretty accurate) Done lol. HBO 2020! There was really nothing unique about the plot or flow, which seemed to be a mashup of previous movies from the horror genre.
Honestly, I don't think I could recommend this movie to anyone without expecting them to lose faith in me as a person.
A disappointment from Hereditary in my opinion.

Today i have celebrate midsommar with my family. LOL. With just one major shocking scene that seems completely out of place this film is a slow burn of frustration. The music score is really annoying and character development is sketchy at best although the makers did a good job to make sure we didn't care about any of them.
The film had promise at the beginning but just being weird isn't enough to cover sloppy writing. Opportunities were lost when some of the party go missing. Those scenes could have been great to create a better sense of horror.
But in the end you could see what.
